1. About Ready For Boards

Ready For Boards (“RFB”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is an EdTech platform operated by Ready For Exam that provides board-exam preparation services for students of CBSE, ICSE, Bihar Board, and UP Board (Classes 9 to 12). Our services include:

• Online chapter notes, lecture decks, and revision material
• Computer-Based Tests (CBT), mock tests, practice sheets, and answer keys
• Daily practice papers and current-affairs digests
• Mentor and faculty support via community forums and direct messaging
• Live and recorded video classes (where applicable)
• Parent-facing progress reports and weekly digests

2. Eligibility & Parental Consent

• You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. Users between 13 and 18 must have verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian.
• For students under 18, the parent or legal guardian is the contracting party and is responsible for all payments, account use, and compliance with these Terms.
• By using the Platform, you represent that you are a resident of India or are accessing the Platform from a location where its use is lawful.
• If you are using the Platform on behalf of a minor, you confirm that you have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.

3. Account Registration & Device Policy

• Each account is personal, non-transferable, and limited to one user. Account sharing is strictly prohibited.
• To prevent misuse, each account is limited to a maximum of two registered devices. Logging in on a third device will require de-registering an existing one.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information at registration and keep it updated.
• We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts found to be shared, sold, or operated by automated tools.

4. Family / Multi-User Accounts

RFB supports family accounts where a parent account can be linked to up to three child learner profiles (one parent + up to three students). Each child profile counts as a separate user for device-cap and content-licence purposes. Course enrolments are assigned to specific child profiles and are not interchangeable without paid swap.

5. Payment Terms

Pricing & Currency

• All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable GST and statutory taxes unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• We reserve the right to revise pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect courses already enrolled.

Payment Processor

• Online payments are processed securely through Razorpay, which supports UPI, debit/credit cards, net banking, and wallets.
• RFB does not store full card numbers, CVV, or banking credentials. Sensitive payment data is handled directly by Razorpay under its PCI-DSS-compliant infrastructure.

Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal

• Subscription-based plans (monthly, quarterly, or annual) do not auto-renew by default. You will be prompted to renew manually before expiry.
• Where an optional auto-renewal is explicitly chosen at checkout, you may cancel auto-renewal at any time from My Account → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle; no pro-rata refund is provided for the current cycle.

EMI

• Where EMI is offered, the schedule and any processing charges are disclosed at checkout. Failure to pay an EMI instalment by its due date may result in suspension of course access until the overdue amount is cleared.

6. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our separate Refund Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. In summary:

• 7-day cooling-off period for online courses, provided no more than 25% of course content has been accessed.
• Mock tests and CBTs are non-refundable once attempted.
• Refunds are credited to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of approval.

7. Intellectual Property

• All content on the Platform — chapter notes, lecture decks, CBT questions, mock tests, answer keys, video lectures, illustrations, software, design, logos, and trademarks — is the exclusive property of Ready For Boards / Ready For Exam or its licensors.
• Content is protected under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and applicable international IP treaties.
• Upon valid enrolment, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access the content solely for your personal, non-commercial study.
• You may not:
  • Copy, screenshot, screen-record, download, redistribute, or republish any content
  • Upload our content to YouTube, Telegram, WhatsApp groups, file-sharing sites, or any other third-party platform
  • Sell, sub-licence, or commercially exploit any portion of the content
  • Modify, translate, or create derivative works from our content
  • Remove any copyright, trademark, or attribution notices
• Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund and may trigger civil and criminal proceedings.

8. Acceptable Use

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

• Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or any automated tools to access, extract, or index any part of the Platform
• Submit answers to CBTs, mock tests, or quizzes through automated scripts
• Use AI tools, answer-keys, or external assistance during timed assessed components in a way that violates assessment instructions
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code of any RFB software
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Platform, or breach any security mechanism
• Post abusive, defamatory, obscene, threatening, or unlawful content in forums, comments, or messages
• Impersonate any teacher, mentor, student, or RFB staff member
• Solicit other users for commercial purposes or rival coaching services
• Use the Platform to transmit malware, spam, or unsolicited communications

9. Community Features

The Platform may include forums, group discussions, activity feeds, and direct messaging (BuddyBoss). By using these features, you grant RFB a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display your contributions within the Platform. You remain solely responsible for the content you post. RFB may remove any content that violates these Terms or community guidelines without prior notice and is not responsible for the accuracy or opinions of user-generated content.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

• The Platform and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• RFB does not guarantee any specific board-exam result, marks, percentage, grade, rank, or admission outcome.
• Success in board exams depends on multiple factors including individual effort, attendance, practice, and circumstances beyond our control.
• Marketing materials, success stories, and student testimonials represent individual outcomes and do not constitute a guarantee of similar results.
• We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses, though we make commercially reasonable efforts to that end.

11. Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by law, RFB, Ready For Exam, and their directors, employees, mentors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform.
• Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount actually paid by you for the specific course or service giving rise to the claim, in the twelve (12) months preceding the event.
• Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law (including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct).

12. Termination

• You may close your account at any time by writing to admin@readyforexam.com.
• RFB may suspend or terminate your account with or without notice if you breach these Terms, violate intellectual-property rights, abuse acceptable-use rules, fail to pay dues, or where required by law.
• On termination, your right to access content ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature survive termination — including intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and governing law — shall remain in force.

13. Third-Party Services

The Platform integrates with third-party services such as Razorpay (payments), YouTube/Vimeo (video hosting), BuddyBoss (community), Zoho (CRM, email), and WhatsApp/Telegram (messaging). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. RFB is not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

14. Modifications to the Terms

• We may revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be published on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.
• For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users via email or in-app notice.
• Your continued use of the Platform after a revision becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

• These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
• Subject to clause 16 (Grievance Redressal), any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Patna, Bihar, India.

In compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, you may raise any concern, complaint, or grievance with our Grievance Officer:

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ready For Boards, Ready For Exam, and their directors, officers, employees, mentors, and affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your violation of any law or third-party right (including intellectual-property rights); and (c) any content you post on the Platform.

18. Severability & Entire Agreement

• If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force, and the invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent.
• These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ready For Boards regarding your use of the Platform and supersede any prior written or oral agreements.
